Submission Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript to Geliotekhnika, authors must confirm that all requirements below have been met.

☐ Originality and Exclusive Submission

The manuscript is original, has not been published previously in an identical or substantially similar form, and is not currently under consideration by another journal. Any publicly available preprint has been disclosed during submission with its link or persistent identifier.

☐ Journal Scope and Manuscript Type

The manuscript is relevant to the journal’s aims and scientific scope in solar energy science, technology, and engineering. The appropriate manuscript type has been selected: Research Article, Review Article, Short Communication, Technical Note, Case Study, Perspective, Editorial, or Letter to the Editor.

☐ Official Journal Template and Files

The manuscript has been prepared using the current official Microsoft Word template and submitted as one editable .docx file.

LaTeX/Overleaf has been used only where the journal provides an official package or the Editorial Office has granted prior approval. In that case, the source files, bibliography, figures, other materials required to compile the manuscript, and the final PDF have been provided in one ZIP archive.

☐ Title Page and Anonymous Manuscript

A separate Title Page contains:

  • full names of all authors;

  • department and institution names;

  • city, postal code, and country for each affiliation;

  • authors’ email addresses;

  • ORCID identifiers, where available;

  • identification and contact details of the Corresponding Author.

The manuscript prepared for double-anonymous peer review does not contain author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, file properties, or other information that may identify the authors.

☐ Language, Title, Abstract, and Keywords

The manuscript is written in Russian or English. For a Russian-language manuscript, the English title, abstract, and keywords have been provided. For an English-language article, Russian bibliographic metadata have been included where required by the official template or the Editorial Office.

The title is concise, informative, specific, and free from unnecessary abbreviations.

The abstract:

  • is presented as a single paragraph;

  • does not exceed 200 words;

  • summarizes the problem and objective, methods, principal quantitative results, and conclusion;

  • does not contain undefined abbreviations, unnecessary citations, or information absent from the main text.

The manuscript includes three to ten relevant keywords.

☐ Manuscript Structure

A Research Article normally includes the following principal sections:

  • Introduction;

  • Methods;

  • Results;

  • Discussion;

  • Conclusions.

A separate Conclusions section is included in every Research Article. The structure of reviews, editorials, perspectives, letters, and other manuscript types has been adapted to their purpose.

☐ Methods and Reproducibility

Theoretical, analytical, experimental, numerical, computational, techno-economic, or environmental methods are described in sufficient detail to permit scientific evaluation, verification, and, where possible, reproduction of the work.

Where applicable, the manuscript reports:

  • study location, geographical coordinates, and climatic conditions;

  • source, period, and temporal resolution of solar-radiation and meteorological data;

  • materials, specimens, facilities, equipment, and operating conditions;

  • measurement uncertainty and instrument calibration;

  • repeatability, number of experiments, and statistical methods;

  • software, versions, models, and principal parameters;

  • model verification and validation;

  • convergence criteria and mesh- or time-step independence;

  • uncertainty, sensitivity, or scenario analysis;

  • applicable international or national standards.

☐ Figures, Tables, and Equations

All figures, tables, and equations:

  • are numbered consecutively;

  • are cited in numerical order in the text;

  • are placed close to their first citation;

  • have clear and informative captions or titles;

  • are provided in legible and publication-quality form.

Figure captions appear below figures, and table titles appear above tables. Equations are numbered using Arabic numerals in parentheses. Required original and editable graphic files have been supplied.

☐ Symbols, Abbreviations, and Units

All symbols, parameters, subscripts, superscripts, and abbreviations are defined at first use.

SI units are used throughout the manuscript. A nomenclature or abbreviations section is included where a large number of symbols or abbreviations is used. A point is used as the decimal separator.

☐ Data Availability Statement

Every manuscript contains a Data Availability Statement.

The statement clearly identifies the applicable circumstance:

  • the repository and persistent identifier, where data are publicly available;

  • availability from the Corresponding Author upon reasonable request;

  • applicable confidentiality, legal, commercial, ethical, contractual, or security restrictions; or

  • that no new data were created or analyzed.

☐ Ethics Approval and Informed Consent

Where applicable, the manuscript includes:

  • the name of the approving ethics committee or competent authority;

  • the approval or protocol number;

  • the approval date;

  • informed consent to participate;

  • consent for publication of identifiable information.

Where ethics approval or consent is not required, the manuscript includes an appropriate “Not applicable” statement.

☐ Required Declarations

The manuscript includes all applicable statements concerning:

  • Author Contributions using CRediT;

  • Funding;

  • Ethics Approval;

  • Informed Consent and Consent for Publication;

  • Data Availability;

  • Acknowledgements;

  • Conflicts of Interest;

  • use of artificial intelligence tools.

Where a declaration does not apply, a “Not applicable” or another appropriate statement has been included.

☐ Authorship

All listed authors meet the journal’s authorship criteria, made a substantial contribution, approved the submitted manuscript, and accepted responsibility for its content.

Contributors who do not qualify for authorship are acknowledged with their permission. The author order has been approved by all co-authors.

☐ References

References are prepared according to the journal’s numerical citation style.

References:

  • are numbered in the order of first citation;

  • are cited in square brackets, such as [1], [2,3], or [4–6];

  • include full active DOI links where available;

  • use journal abbreviations consistent with ISO 4;

  • include only sources cited in the manuscript;

  • have been checked for accuracy and completeness before submission.

Cyrillic references are consistently transliterated into the Latin alphabet. Where required, the title is followed by an English translation in square brackets, and the original language is identified.

☐ Research Integrity and Third-Party Materials

The manuscript does not contain plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, duplicate publication, inappropriate manipulation of data or images, citation manipulation, fabricated references, or other research misconduct.

Permission has been obtained for copyrighted figures, tables, photographs, software, datasets, or other third-party materials, and the sources have been appropriately acknowledged.

☐ Copyright and Licence

The authors understand that they retain copyright to their articles and that articles accepted under the current independent publishing model are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0).

The authors understand that content published under previous publishing arrangements remains subject to the copyright and licensing terms stated in its original publication.

☐ Publication Fees

The authors have reviewed the journal’s Publication Fees (APC) Policy.

No manuscript submission fee is charged. The standard APC is USD 100 for each article formally accepted for publication. Payment is requested only after a final acceptance decision has been issued.

The authors understand that the APC is not a payment for acceptance and that payment, discount, or waiver does not influence peer review or the editorial decision.

☐ Final Approval

All authors have reviewed and approved the final submitted version, author order, and declarations. The Corresponding Author confirms that the manuscript files and submission metadata are accurate, complete, and mutually consistent.

Incomplete Submissions

Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the Corresponding Author for technical correction before editorial assessment or peer review.
