Publication Fees (APC) Policy
Geliotekhnika operates under an Open Access publishing model. All articles published under the journal’s current independent publishing model are freely available to readers without subscription, registration, or access fees.
The standard Article Processing Charge (APC) established by the journal is:
USD 100 per article accepted for publication
The APC is charged only after a manuscript has successfully completed peer review and any required revision and has been formally accepted for publication. Payment does not guarantee acceptance and does not influence the outcome of peer review.
Submission and Peer-Review Fees
The journal does not charge authors for:
-
manuscript submission;
-
initial editorial screening;
-
organization of peer review;
-
submission of revised versions;
-
rejection of a manuscript;
-
return of a manuscript before consideration begins.
No APC payment is requested before the final acceptance decision. After acceptance, official payment information is sent to the Corresponding Author or to the institution or funder designated by that author.
APC Amount and Payment Procedure
The standard APC for each article formally accepted for publication is USD 100.
-
payment is requested only after a final acceptance decision;
-
the Editorial Office does not require advance payment as a condition of peer review or acceptance;
-
an invoice or official payment instructions are issued only for an accepted article;
-
payment may be made by the author, the author’s institution, a funder, or another lawful funding source;
-
a charge not announced in advance on the official website does not apply to the author.
Where bank, tax, or other transaction costs arise, they must be identified separately and in advance in the official payment document.
Purpose of the APC
The APC contributes to the costs of the following publishing services and infrastructure:
-
manuscript and peer-review administration;
-
editorial and technical processing;
-
checking compliance with basic language and formatting requirements;
-
article layout and preparation for publication;
-
production of PDF and online versions;
-
DOI registration and metadata maintenance;
-
website and publishing-platform support;
-
digital Open Access distribution;
-
backup and digital-preservation measures.
The APC is not a payment to purchase a scientific result, favorable review, or article acceptance. Authors remain responsible for the scientific and language quality of their manuscripts. The Editorial Office does not guarantee substantial rewriting of scientific content or professional translation as part of the APC.
Editorial Independence
All editorial decisions are based solely on:
-
scientific quality;
-
originality and novelty;
-
relevance to the journal’s aims and scientific scope;
-
methodological reliability;
-
compliance with ethical and editorial requirements;
-
the results of independent peer review.
Payment of the APC, payment by an institution or funder, and any lawful discount or waiver do not influence the evaluation, acceptance, or rejection of a manuscript.
Payment administration is kept separate from scientific evaluation and editorial decision-making as far as practicable. Editorial decisions remain under the exclusive authority of the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board.
Discounts, Waivers, and Financial Support
No automatic discount or general waiver not expressly announced in this policy applies. The standard APC applies equally to all accepted articles.
If the journal introduces a discount, waiver, or financial-support programme in the future, the following information will be clearly published on the official website before payment is requested:
-
who is eligible for such support;
-
which author within a group must meet the eligibility criteria;
-
when and how to apply;
-
who decides and according to which criteria;
-
whether the support is full or partial.
A financial-support decision does not influence scientific peer review or the editorial decision. A new charge or discount will not be applied retroactively to an article accepted under previously published terms.
Additional Charges
The journal does not apply hidden or previously undisclosed mandatory publication charges.
No separate mandatory fee is charged based on:
-
the number of authors;
-
the number of manuscript revisions;
-
the author’s country or institution;
-
the duration of peer review;
-
the number of tables, figures, or references;
-
rejection of a manuscript.
If an author voluntarily purchases language editing, translation, graphic preparation, or another service from a third party, that service is not part of the journal’s APC and does not guarantee manuscript acceptance.
Reader Access and Licence
Publication fees do not create any charge or access restriction for readers. The full text of each published article is made immediately available on the journal website under Open Access.
Articles accepted under the current independent publishing model are published in accordance with the journal’s Open Access Policy under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0).
Access, copyright, and licensing terms for content published under previous publishing arrangements are governed by the terms stated in the original publication.
Role of Publishing and Technical Services
I-EDU GROUP LLC provides publishing infrastructure, technical processing, website and platform support, DOI- and metadata-related services, digital distribution, and technical assistance.
I-EDU GROUP LLC does not determine the scientific evaluation of a manuscript, the content of peer-review reports, or the editorial decision. Payment of the APC does not give the publishing and technical service provider authority to accept or reject an article.
Policy Administration
This policy takes effect on the date of its publication on the journal’s official website. Subsequent revisions will be identified by their publication date. The current version on the website supersedes previous versions; however, a new charge will not be applied retroactively to an article formally accepted under previously published terms.
