Advertising and Direct Marketing Policy
Geliotekhnika does not accept paid commercial advertising and does not receive advertising revenue.
The journal’s official website, article pages, published content, email communications, and information channels are not used to promote commercial products or services. The journal’s name, logo, and scholarly reputation may not be used as a vehicle for advancing the commercial interests of third parties.
Advertising and Academic Announcements
The journal may publish the following information directly related to its scholarly activities:
-
announcements of new issues and individual articles;
-
calls for papers;
-
information about the journal’s editorial, scientific, and educational activities;
-
information about relevant conferences, seminars, and scholarly meetings;
-
important publishing notices for authors, reviewers, and readers.
Such communications are not paid commercial advertising. They must be relevant to the journal’s aims and scientific scope, accurate, verifiable, and clearly distinguishable from published scholarly content.
The publication of information about an external academic event or organization does not imply the journal’s endorsement of all activities, products, or services of that organization. The organizer or source of the announcement will be clearly identified where appropriate.
Functional links to DOI, ORCID, indexing, archiving, library, or other scholarly infrastructure services are not, by themselves, treated as advertising.
Institutional or other lawful financial support provided to the journal, where applicable, will be disclosed under the relevant transparency policies. Such support does not give a sponsor the right to influence editorial decisions, control published content, or place advertising.
Editorial Independence
All manuscript decisions are based exclusively on scientific quality, originality, relevance, methodological reliability, alignment with the journal’s scope, and compliance with the journal’s applicable policies.
The initial assessment, peer review, acceptance, revision, rejection, or publication of a manuscript is not influenced by:
-
financial or commercial interests;
-
advertising or marketing activity;
-
an author’s institution, position, or country;
-
financial support provided to the journal or associated organizations;
-
payment or waiver of an Article Processing Charge;
-
the institutional or personal interests of a third party.
Editorial decisions remain under the exclusive authority of the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board. The placement or distribution of an academic announcement does not guarantee manuscript acceptance or expedited review.
Direct Marketing and Journal Communications
The journal does not use false, misleading, aggressive, repetitive, or intrusive marketing practices. Calls for papers and other communications distributed on behalf of the journal must:
-
clearly identify the journal and the organization sending the communication;
-
be relevant to the journal’s scientific scope and target readership;
-
be directed only to relevant authors, researchers, or interested academic audiences;
-
be accurate, current, and verifiable;
-
avoid false promises about peer review, fees, licensing, publication timelines, or indexing status;
-
not guarantee acceptance, citation, or inclusion in a database;
-
provide recipients with a clear method of declining further unwanted communications.
The journal may use its public website, official email, author accounts on the journal platform, and other appropriate academic communication channels. Repeated communications to a specific person must respect that person’s stated communication preferences.
Use of Personal Data
The contact information of authors, reviewers, editors, readers, and website users is not sold, rented, or provided to third parties for commercial marketing.
Information obtained through manuscript submission, peer review, or editorial correspondence is used only for the journal’s legitimate editorial, publishing, scholarly communication, and technical purposes. A reviewer’s confidential contact information will not be used for advertising or general marketing without the reviewer’s consent.
Personal data are processed in accordance with the journal’s Privacy Statement.
Responsibilities and Current Publishing Model
The content of official academic communications distributed on behalf of the journal must be approved by the journal’s authorized editorial management.
I-EDU GROUP LLC provides the journal’s publishing infrastructure, website, and technical platform and assists with the technical distribution of approved communications. These functions do not give I-EDU GROUP LLC authority to evaluate manuscripts, promise publication to authors, or make editorial decisions.
This policy applies to the official website and communication channels managed under the journal’s current independent publishing model. Historical pages or communications on external platforms managed under previous publishing arrangements may be outside the journal’s current technical control.
Complaints and Policy Administration
Any person who considers a communication sent on behalf of the journal to be misleading, inappropriate, or repetitive may ask the Editorial Office to stop the communication or investigate the matter.
Complaints concerning advertising, journal communications, or editorial independence will be considered under the journal’s Complaints and Appeals Policy.
This policy takes effect on the date of its publication on the journal’s official website. Subsequent revisions will be identified by their publication date.
