Geliotekhnika

Geliotekhnika is a peer-reviewed international scientific journal founded by the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The journal is a scientific publication of the S.A. Azimov Institute of Physics and Technology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The journal has been published since 1965. It was re-registered on 12 December 2006 by the Information and Communication Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Registration Certificates Nos. 0077 and 004780-10).

Beginning with Issue 1 of 2026, Geliotekhnika continues publication under an independent editorial and publishing model. The journal is published quarterly, with four issues per year, in Russian and English.

For more than six decades, the journal has served as a scientific platform for publishing the results of fundamental and applied research in solar energy science, technology and engineering.

The journal publishes original research articles, review papers and short communications on solar radiation, photovoltaic materials and systems, solar thermal energy, solar collectors and concentrators, energy storage, solar-powered water desalination, applications of solar energy in buildings, industry and agriculture, and renewable energy technologies directly related to solar energy.

All submitted manuscripts are evaluated in accordance with the principles of publication ethics, academic integrity, transparent editorial procedures and independent peer review.

The journal welcomes submissions from researchers, engineers, scientists, doctoral candidates and specialists from universities, research institutions and industrial organisations worldwide.

Particular attention is given to research contributing to the development of efficient, reliable and environmentally sustainable solar energy technologies. The journal’s scientific scope supports the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:

  • SDG 7 — Affordable and Clean Energy;
  • SDG 9 — Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure;
  • SDG 11 — Sustainable Cities and Communities;
  • SDG 12 — Responsible Consumption and Production;
